 Angelique Houtkamp is a contemporary Dutch Artist/ Tattoo artist. These images are from her book 'TATTOO DARLING' which was published in 2009. Using watercolour, pen, and ink, Angelique's works on paper are heavily influenced by old school tattoo styles. I love her work because i'm a sucker for vintage styled anything, and i really like her quirky and imaginative subject matter. Much of her inspiration comes from 1920's circus freaks and sailor culture. I like that her work is feminine but gutsy as well, and that her pieces translate just as well on paper as they do on skin. |
